Parenting Plan Mediation

Mediation to help design child-focused plans for separated parents.

Parenting Plan Mediation is best for separated, divorcing, or never-married parents who want to establish or update a co-parenting routine without court intervention. This typr of mediation is child-centric. It keeps conversations focused on what best supports your children’s emotional and physical well-being.

Mediation Stages

Stage 1: Introduction & Guidelines

The mediator introduces the goals and ground rules for the mediation process.

Stage 2: Family Context

The mediator gathers background details to understand your family dynamics, including the children’s names, daily routines, relatives, hobbies, and personal preferences.

Stage 3: Agenda Setting

Parents select the topics to address. The mediator provides a comprehensive checklist covering key areas such as schedules, decision-making, medical care, holidays, and schooling.

Stage 4: Topic Discussion & Solution Building

Topics are discussed one by one. Both parents share current perspectives and brainstorm ideas. Together, they refine and select solutions that work for both of them.

Stage 5: Plan Finalization & Signing

The mediator drafts the final parenting plan based on your agreed solutions and sends a copy to both parties for digital signature.
